HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR GARMENTS?

All of our measurements are provided in 'half chest measurements', of the front of the garment, taken on a flat surface.  Chest and hip measurements are taken from side seam to side seam. This measurement should be doubled for the full size. Length measurements are taken from top to bottom seam. All measurements are provided in cm.

We always aim to be as accurate as possible with our measurements, however please allow for a variance of 1-2cm.

HOW DO I KNOW IF THE GARMENT WILL FIT ME?

As a vast majority of our clothing are vintage pieces, the size on the tag is not always true to current / modern sizing. We provide the tagged size whenever available, however we recommend that you check the measurements we provide against your similar type of garment that fits perfectly. See above for how we take our measurements to do the same with your own favourite piece. 

We are always happy to provide more measurements or info on any of our items, so just contact us if you need to know more!

HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR SHOES?

We take the length measurement of all our shoes in the middle of the bottom sole. Tagged size is provided whenever available and most brands have a size chart to confirm your size. To measure your foot, stand against a wall and measure from tip of toe to edge of heel. 

           

CAN I RETURN MY ITEM FOR A REFUND OR EXCHANGE?

We only offer refunds on faulty items or if we have failed to describe an item correctly. Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order to submit a refund request.

If you have changed your mind and want to return your item(s), we would be happy to provide a voucher code (valid for 12 months) to the value of the returned item(s), minus shipping costs. Please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to submit a return request.

CAN I RETURN MY ITEM IN PERSON AT YOUR STORES?

Yes! You are welcome to return your item directly at one of our stores and choose your exchange item in person. This can be done once you have received notification of your return request approval.

Please note: All return requests must be submitted via email. Please notify us if you would like to return your item(s) directly to our store, in person in the return request. Please await further instructions before returning your item(s) to our stores.

ARE YOUR ITEMS SECOND HAND?

Yes! A vast majority of our garments and items are second hand. As all of our items are carefully selected, 99% are in excellent condition or will be stated otherwise. Please bear in mind that as second hand items, there will be general wear and tear. If an item has any issues of note, this will be described in our listings eg marks, stains, holes, scratches, chips.

DO YOU SELL ANY NEW ITEMS?

Yes! All of our earrings and sunglasses are brand new. We also stock some new garments and other items. 

WHEN DO YOU ADD NEW ITEMS ON THIS WEBSITE?

We add new items daily! Make sure to check back regularly and sign up for our mailing list to be the first to see our fresh drops. 

WHEN / HOW WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

All orders are shipped within 48 hours of being received, but usually they are out the door within a couple of hours! Depending on your location, we may personally deliver if you are local; by Australia Post or courier. We always use a reputable service and will provide a tracking number once your order has been shipped, or notify you if we have personally delivered directly to your door. You will receive this in an email.

WHERE IS MY ORDER? 

Once shipped, we will email you the tracking number and service provider handling your parcel. Australia Post and couriers have varying shipping times - these are all available on their respective websites. Unfortunately, once your order has been shipped, we have no control of how long it takes to reach you. Melbourne Vintage is not liable for any lost packages, damaged caused in transit or orders delivered to an incorrect address provided by the buyer.

CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER?

Yes! Just select 'Pick up' at check out and wait for confirmation that your item is ready for collection. Pick up is available from our Brunswick store within 2 - 4 hours, however most will be ready for you to pick up immediately!

Please note: we may take longer to have your item ready to be picked up due to COVID-19.

CAN I CHANGE OR CANCEL MY ORDER?

In most cases, we start processing your order as soon as it has been received so unfortunately it is unlikely that we can make any changes. However, please contact us immediately if you have any issues and we will try our best to help! 

Unfortunately we are unable to cancel an order once payment has been received.
